The Owen County Search and Rescue Squad recieves Homeland Security Grant.
On behalf of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Grants and Training (G&T), I
am pleased to inform you that your application submitted under the fiscal year (FY) 2006 Commercial
Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP) has been approved. Through CEDAP, your agency
will receive the AMKUS - Spreaders, Cutters, and RAM Tools (Gasoline-Powered).
This system includes:
GH2S-XL gas two tool simultaneous operation power unit with quick connect couplings,
(2) 30' Extension hoses,
AMK-30CXSpreader,
AMK-25E Speedway cutter, and the
AMK-30R 30" Push-Pull Ram
with 10" ram extension.
CEDAP provides emergency response agencies with the equipment and technology they need to fulfill
their homeland security mission. It is an important component of a larger, coordinated effort to
strengthen our Nation’s overall preparedness baseline. CEDAP’s primary focus is to enhance
regional response capabilities, mutual aid, and interoperable communications in jurisdictions ineligible
to receive assistance under the DHS Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI).
